On the 21st of April, Hamara Internet’s team met up with 110 girls in the University of Sindh, to talk about how to reclaim digital space and combat violence against women and girls online. Members of the audience passionately shared stories of how they have overcome obstacles to get an education and how they planned to become agents of positive social change. Our team extensively spoke to the audience about how change needs to occur in ways that can be sustained not through a lifetime but generations and that societal change is only achievable through collective efforts. Our guest speaker Senior News Producer Noreen Zehra spoke about how she deals with everyday sexism in the workplace and the cyber-hate she at times receives online.
